This is my very first blog post, and I could not think of a better way to start than by sharing something simple, comfortable, and realistic. If you have ever stood in front of your closet feeling frustrated because nothing quite fits or feels right, you are not alone.
I created Curves in Comfort as a 5’0”, 165 pound woman who has spent years trying to find clothes that actually work for a shorter, curvier body. So many styles are designed for taller frames, and for a long time getting dressed felt more complicated than it needed to be. Between working full time and trying to prioritize my health and wellness, I have learned that feeling good in what you wear matters just as much as how it looks.
That is what this space will always be about. Comfortable everyday outfits, Amazon finds I actually use, and pieces that work for real life. Nothing overly styled or unrealistic, just honest recommendations that make getting dressed feel easier and more enjoyable.
For this first post, I am sharing one of my go to everyday outfits. This is the kind of look I reach for when I want to feel comfortable but still put together. It works for errands, work from home days, or relaxed weekends, and it is made up of pieces that truly get worn in my day to day life.
The oversized white tee I am wearing is one of my favorite everyday pieces. It is very flowy and comfortable, which is exactly what I look for. I chose it in white and intentionally went with an oversized fit. I could have sized down, but I wanted a more relaxed, flowy look that drapes nicely on a shorter frame. For reference, I am wearing a size large.
I paired the outfit with a simple Amazon necklace set that includes three pieces. I love that I can mix and match the styles depending on the outfit. The set does not tarnish, and I can wear it daily without worrying about taking it off. I sleep in it, shower in it, and it still holds up well, which is a big plus for everyday wear.
The pants I am wearing are the Tahiti Pant from Free People in Dried Herb, size medium. They have a relaxed fit and feel incredibly comfortable on a shorter frame. Also, some slip on clogs give this look an extra touch of boho! I have linked my favorite pair below. They are extremely comfortable, easy to throw on, and go with many different outfits. I wear a size 6.5 and chose the color Taupe, which are featured in the photo above.
